Key Stage 2 is taught in primary education between Year 3 to Year 6, with the SATS exam in Year 6.  It provides your child with the foundation of basic numeracy skills as well as understanding shape, measure and interpreting data from graphs.

If for some reason, your child is struggling with the basic maths in their primary school or you are worried about their achievement when sitting their SATS exam at the end of Year 6, then I will be able to provide bespoke and varied  activities based on your child's learning style and abilities, to motivate your child and get them to enjoy  learning mathematics again and increase their confidence.  As each child learns in their own individual way, I will adapt the lessons to suit your child's learning style,  involving them in interactive and creative tasks to improve their understanding of mathematics.

The Key Stage 2 part of the curriculum is split into four main areas:

• Understanding and Application
• Numbers and Algebra
• Shapes, Space and Measurements
• Handling Data

Each area will be tutored individually to ensure that your child gains the basic knowledge required before applying their knowledge to past SATS papers.  As someone with direct experience of providing SATS maths tutor services, I will ensure that your child is able to tackle each question with confidence in order to achieve the highest level possible.
