About me

My training and mentoring experience began over 15 years ago when I began my role as a Business Development Manager; I enjoyed taking complex issues and turning them into simple bite size elements to be understood by a wide range of people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities. Financial management and various subjects under the heading of Leadership and Management have been among a number of subject areas I have developed training material for and delivered to a wide audience.

My degree and educational background has been in sciences and mathematics featured heavily throughout. My joy for maths may not have been so, had I not had an encouraging teacher at the age of 15 who motivated me so much so that learning maths became a fun activity and I began to excel in the subject. My tutoring journey began about one and a half years ago, when I was asked by a neighbour to help her son with his maths homework which then turned into regular sessions, resulting him to move up a set at school and increase his self-esteem generally.

I enjoy facilitating learning and work with each individual based on their learning style and abilities. I strive to enable everyone to find their own way of making sense of each subject area, using their imagination and relating them to everyday issues; replacing the mystery with the magic and confusion with confidence. In all learning journeys, we struggle through lack of confidence, understanding and praise. It is my aim to raise each individual's self-esteem with each and every step so that they are able to meet and surpass their own aims.

Each session is based on the appropriate current curriculum and adapts activities to suit each individual learning style. We all learn in different ways and each session will be adapted so that your child or you will fully understand the topics being taught as well as providing  methods and tools for remembering them.  It is not necessarily the quantity of exercises they can carry out, but more to do with how your child can apply their knowledge to discover new concepts.   Your child's understanding is the vital element that will ensure their success and therefore will be the main focus of every lesson.

Currently I am available for home tuition.

I am based in Sydenham, London (SE26) am DBS checked.
